Common Operating Picture Team
The 838 Inc. team has partnered with General Dynamics C4 Systems (VIZ) to provide Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and the derivative of CPOF, Comotion, software to commercial customers. 838 Inc. is currently working with a very successful oil and gas real time data integration company to revolutionize the oil and gas industry by providing true real time data monitoring and logistic capability to teams that monitor day-to-day operations.
The 838 Inc. team is made up of former developers of CPOF and current operators and trainers of CPOF that have extensive experience with Command Post of the Future (CPOF). In addition to providing Subject Matter Experts to the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) during the creation of CPOF, team members deployed in support of Operation Iraq Freedom (OIF) with the US Army to establish and train operators in CPOF functionality. Over the intervening years, the team has advised both the Army Program Manager for Mission Command (PM MC) and the supplier General Dynamics in the updating and creating enhancements to reliability of the core software. Further, the team participated directly in the DARPA development of enhancements like Personal Assistant that Learns (PAL) and 3G (3d Generation) software.
Capabilities
The 838 Inc. team has access to the foremost trainers of CPOF. As the Army has begun to remove Field Service Representatives (FSRs) from the training environment, we have started to employ these talented men and women to continue, independent of the government, to train on CPOF and other applications of the core CoMotion software in near-government and commercial applications. Our trainers are the finest trainers anywhere at helping students understand the operating architecture and operate CPOF in a battle space or garrison setting and can ensure high quality training support for all CPOF training scenarios.
In addition to being very capable of developing Plans of Execution, contributing data and technical information, collecting and analyzing information and supporting ‘Train the Trainer’ operations, the team has real world experience operating in the CPOF environment. After action reviews can be conducted by our team of experienced personnel that have the capability to provide real world experience into the training. We understand CPOF because our team has been working with CPOF since its inception.
